INTERNSHIPS

Here at The Optimisation Hub, we enjoy sharing our journey – where we’ve come from, what we’re doing, and where we’re going!

As part of sharing our journey, we have hosted internships and placements for psychology students & Current/Past Elite Athletes. They have the opportunity to work at our desk, contribute to our projects, and assist in the Journey.

Find out a bit more of what we have done below.

THE EXPERIENCE

Our internships provide a group of psychology students and Current/Past Elite Athletes with the opportunity to join our team and learn a bit about how we design, deliver, implement evidence based strategies to deliver across populations of people.

The Optimisation Hub interns are tasked with a series of research and design activities that encapsulate the work of Psychologists here at The Optimisation Hub. These activities engage our interns in real work on a number of active projects and also the ability to research in our OHUB Clinical Lab.

Some examples of what our interns have done:

▸ Researching and designing new forms of learning paradigms

▸ Researching between the UK, EU and AUS sporting populations

▸ Researching and designing workshops as part of our Master Training

SKILLS TAUGHT AND ACQUIRED

We set out to provide a rich and generous experience to prepare interns for work in the professional sphere and realm of psychology. Our internships are known for strengthening autonomy, providing opportunities for collaboration and mentoring, improving critical thinking and research skills, as well as broadening the interns scope of understanding of the field of Clinical Psychology, Psychology and Human Behaviour.

Our hope is that our interns walk away knowing the value of the knowledge and skillset they have acquired from their degree but also with opportunities to continue collaborating with us for future intakes.
